If you get referrals faxed to anywhere, get a printed copy for yourself & call the people to ensure they got the faxed referral.
Make yourself heard.
If something feels wrong, or they aren't moving quick enough, stomp your feet, scream, give them a foot up the behind. Make them listen to you! Don't let anyone push Wombat to the bottom of waiting lists.!!
Stay strong, Mama Bear.
I hope Wombat is seen to and helped a lot quicker than Master S was xo
Tara @ Our Whirlwind Adventureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15128706568848285409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4296239918663175103.post-71707164999962353852012-08-15T20:37:23.992+10:002012-08-15T20:37:23.992+10:00Further to my post last week, Wombat went to the a...Further to my post last week, Wombat went to the audiologist today and he apparently has significant hearing loss. They weren't able to do a pressure test on his ears because he wouldn't hold still, but Wombat has been really snotty for at least the last 12 months, so it wouldn't surprise me if he has fluid in his ears. Now we get to go through the process of going to an ENT and getting it all sorted.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02829730006702516141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4296239918663175103.post-61149092600666037122012-08-10T13:39:04.164+10:002012-08-10T13:39:04.164+10:00wow just wow what a story.wow just wow what a story.annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13771839779749239686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4296239918663175103.post-77196009948617716102012-08-10T11:37:38.649+10:002012-08-10T11:37:38.649+10:00Oh wow, what a beautiful post. My sister had the same problem at the same age and it was amazing the difference getting grommets made. It was all we could do to get her to shut-up after that, she was learning words thick and fast once she was able to hear again. I hope all goes well at the next hearing test.Kylie Purtellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00185153539010825877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4296239918663175103.post-50582184419825072442012-08-09T12:28:13.562+10:002012-08-09T12:28:13.562+10:00I've noticed for a while that Wombat has a ver...I've noticed for a while that Wombat has a very limited vocabulary and took him to a speech pathologist back in March. She gave us some tips and told us to go get a hearing test done. Thunder Maker didn't see the point as he was responding to requests through actions. It's taken me since March and a second appointment with the speech pathologist to convince Thunder Maker that a hearing test is a good idea. Wombat is booked in for next Wednesday. I'm not 100% convinced that there is anything wrong with his hearing, it could just be "big brother takes over everything I do" syndrome. At least we'll have an answer one way or the other though.

I'm really pleased that you have finally gotten some action and that Master S can finally hear. I'm sure he'll be chatting away like nobody's business soon enough. :)Sidetrackedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04047737637729098598noreply@blogger.com
